Eco-responsible paragliding school
Run a paragliding school taking care of the planet...
As enthusiasts of the natural environments in which we operate, we are attentive to practicing our activity while minimizing its impact on our planet. This involves various points:
-
Regularly engaging with the High Jura Mountain National Nature Reserve;
-
Teaching the rules of overflight: habitat protection orders for the nesting of cliff-dwelling species, quiet zones for capercaillie; regarding this, you will find all the rules and a very clear map here: link to the map
-
Preferring cable cars over motorized means;
-
If not possible, considering the distance in choosing the practice site of the day to limit diesel consumption;
-
Providing accessibility through public transportation via the TGV Valserhône train station and then the Regional bus, line 33: link to the bus schedule;
-
Using flight equipment designed and manufactured in France as much as possible;
-
Minimizing paper printing;
-
Ensuring energy savings in the use of the facility (lights, device charging...);
-
Implementing selective waste sorting at the school;
-
Introducing the benefits of vol-rando (flight-hiking)...

Wings of Air
The project app'ailes d'air, or "APP5", puts paragliding at the service of the planet, by using it as on-board transport for measuring devices for various atmospheric pollution! A great idea from 2 doctoral students, who are leading this nice project of which I am a partner. To find out more, they have a great site that explains the whole process:
